Louisville,KY Poly munch:
Meetings are usually on Sat. 2nd weekend of the month from 3 to 6 pm at the Clifton UU church (corner of Payne and S. Rastetter- right around the corner from the Frankfort Ave Clifton's Pizza...church address is 2231 Payne St - (phone 895-3189)). We will be having a regular potluck, and my lady Anita will prepare a cooked ham...we ask everyone to bring a side dish to go with it- we are doing a Mothers Day type of dinner. We will be discussing plans for the annual Poly Picnic in June, so come on down and pull up a chair for some good chow and a chance to chat with like-minded folks. If you'd like to bring something besides a side dish, sodas are always welcome, and good conversation never goes out of style. If you have any questions/concerns regarding the Louisville munch, please feel free to write Lebif@worldnet.att.net
Pittsburgh,PA Three Rivers Polyamory Network - TRPN meets on the last Monday of every month at 7:30 p.m. at the GLCC in Squirrel Hill (directions). All are welcome. Discussion is guided by the interests of those present and usually includes relationship issues, particularly ones that are unique to polyamorous relationships. We'd like to extend a particular welcome to those who are poly-curious or (happily or unhappily) in a relationship with a poly partner. This is a friendly discussion group, not a swingers' club; swingers are welcome, but please refrain from hitting on people. Each person attending the meeting is asked to make a $1 donation to the GLCC for use of the space.
"Possessive jealousy is the logical outcome of marriage and an exclusive love in which two people "own" each other. This has left its mark on the vocabulary of love: "you belong to me", "you take me", "you are mine"...Yet sublime and absolute love is completely altruistic, because it is concerned for the happiness of the partner...Love reaches towards the other, or the others; when it does not, it is just an egoistical and possessive passion...So love was undermined by society because it was an extremely powerful factor favoring emancipation. As such, it was poisoned with questionable ideas conducive to possessive ownership, egoism and jealousy. Fortunately some of the myths have preserved the free and pure nature of love."
